BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting (BBCetc) is hosting a variety of workshops in November and December as part of their Michigan Assistance Program. Funded by a grant from the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF) and administered through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), BBCetc provides Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) training and proposal development services to technology-based entrepreneurs and early-stage companies throughout Michigan.

DOD Rebranded Components

  • Join the BBCetc’s DOD expert in this virtual training and learn the goals and initiatives of DOD’s rebranded components. During this session, you will review DOD’s mission and provide an overview of all DOD components. All have a different focus, eligibility requirements, and solicitation deadlines.

  • The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program at the U.S. Department of Education (ED) is administered out of its research office, the Institute of Education Sciences (IES). Learn how to lay the groundwork for your ED SBIR/STTR proposal in the BBCetc virtual classroom. After a review of the SBIR/STTR program goals and eligibility, their expert will review the nuances of the program, including funding rates, application components, and scoring criteria.
